Coach Beasley will be entering his 21st season as a coach at Hendersonville High School and his 6th as the head coach. He got named head coach in November of 2017 after Coach Bruch Hatfield stepped down after 20 years as the head coach of the COMMANDOS. Coach Hatfield left the program as the longest tenured and most successful coach in school history. Coach Beasley is an alumnus of Hendersonville High School, playing at HHS from 1994-1997 under Coach Robert Lassiter while Coach Hatfield was an assistant. He was involved in football, basketball, and track as a COMMANDO at HHS. Coach Beasley was a senior on the 1997 Region Championship team and earned all-region honors his sophomore and senior years. He also holds the distinction of being the only player to represent Hendersonville football in both the Tennessee/Kentucky and the East/West Shrine all-star games representing Tennessee and the East team. Coach Beasley was a tight end as well as a defensive end during his high school career. He also did a great job in the weightroom and is still tied for the Iron Bunker power clean record. Following his senior season, he won the prestigious Allan and Brent Haag COMMANDO Pride award. In track, he threw 165 ft. in the discus (a current school record), and also threw the shot put. He has been teaching math, coaching the varsity defensive backs, tight ends, and has been in charge of the strength and conditioning, in addition to his football duties, he is also involved with the track & field team. He served as the head track coach for 6 years and is currently helping as time allows. This is his 11th season coaching the secondary as he coached the defensive ends his first 4 seasons at HHS, on the offensive side of the ball, he has coached the tight ends during every season as a coach. He coached on staffs that took the COMMANDOS to a 5A State Championship Game appearance in 2010 and a 6A appearance in 2013. He played tight end for Chattanooga for 4 seasons, and graduated from UTC with a B.S. in mathematics. He stayed at the University and was involved with the football team as he earned a masters degree in computational engineering. Coach Beasley is married to Meagan, who also attended UTC and is originally from Tullahoma. She is currently works at 1st Baptist Church with their WEE program. Coach Beasley and Meagan have two children. Their oldest, Malea, is 17 years old and is a 12th grader at HHS. Their son, Jett is 13 years old and is in 8th grade at Ellis Middle School. The Beasley’s attend 1st Baptist Church in Hendersonville, and are excited to be COMMANDOS.
