Hendersonville has released its 2019 varsity schedule. Region 4-6A has remained the same as last year with Hendersonville, Lebanon, Mt. Juliet, Rossview, Station Camp, and Wilson Central making up the Region. The COMMANDO Snon-Region contests for 2019 will include county rivals Gallatin and Beech in addition to Oakland, Giles County, and Independence; HHS will not play Blackman, Centennial, or Franklin in the regular season this fall as they did in 2018. The COMMANDOS will begin the season in Memorial Stadium on August 23rdagainst the defending class 6A champion Oakland Patriots. Oakland ended Hendersonville’s season in the 2ndround of the TSSAA class 6A playoffs last year by defeating the COMMANDOS 0-28 at Oakland. The 2nd game will be on the road at Giles County, the Bobcats play in Region 5-3A and this will be the first meeting between these two teams. Station Camp will be the 1st Region game of the 2019 season and will be on the road, then Hendersonville will return home to take on Beech. Lebanon will be on the road as a Region game before two straight home game against Independence and Wilson Central. This will be the 1st regular season game for HHS against Independence as the previous three meetings between the COMMANDOS and the Eagles came in the playoffs with the last being in 2015 when HHS fell in the 2nd round at Independence 7-38. Wilson Central will be the homecoming game on Oct. 4. Gallatin will be the final non-Region game then HHS will play at Rossview before finishing the season at home against Mt. Juliet.
