Hendersonville had 14 players named to the 2018 All-County team including five of the eight specialty awards. We are very proud of the teams accomplishments throughout the season and that some of our team members are being recognized for the outstanding efforts. Earning the high honor of being named Sumner County’s ‘Player of the Year’was #32 Derek Kincaid. #20 Nate Hancockwas named ‘Athlete of the Year’, #82 Austin Halaswas ‘Sumner County Defensive Player of the Year’, #97 Ashton Doddearned‘Kicker of the Year’honors, and #76 Wilson Higgswas the county’s ‘Defensive Lineman of the Year’. In addition to the specialty awards won, 1stteam selections included #77 Austin Hamblinas a defensive lineman, #7 Logan Spurrieras a defensive back, #51 JD Jordanas linebacker, #78 Andrew Watersas offensive lineman, and #61 Zach Rockomas an offensive lineman. Fullback #15 Dalton Jonesand offensive lineman #66 Lane Smithwere named 2ndteam. On the 3rdteam All-County was #69 Dylan Cunninghamas a defensive lineman and #8 Brent Roweas a defensive back.
